I finally rooted out a problem I was having with my gift server for the new HUDDLES Landmark Pal Deluxe. Now it works! Luckily the problem was in the server and not the HUD, so no update is necessary. If you have the Landmark Pal Deluxe and want to give the free trial version to your friends, it should now work. Go ahead and give it away.
If you haven’t yet tried the new Landmark Pal Deluxe, it’s really neat. I’ve found it to be very useful personally. It’s great to keep track of all your recent locations via the handy history menu. And it’s so nice to be able to save your favorite places in a variety of ways.
Although, I haven’t been a user of twitter before, I got to thinking about how one might update a twitter stream from a LSL script in Second Life. It took me a little time to figure it out, but it seems quite easy. Someone posted a solution to the Second Life forums a couple years back.
User is your twitter name, password is your password and msg is the message you want to send.
I’m thinking that it might be nice to add this to the EZ Animator Deluxe, but I’m wondering if anyone would use it and what features would they want. What do you think?
Oh, by the way, you can follow me on twitter, my name is KeikiAtHuddles.
Try my new HUD, the HUDDLES Landmark Pal Deluxe for free. Use a fully functional version for 14 days before you buy it.
You can get a free copy of the HUD either by getting it as a gift from someone who has one, by grabbing one from xstreetsl.com, or by going to my store, HUDDLES Headquarters and picking up one there. If you want to grab it from my store, just touch the sign (only pay the sign if you want to purchase it).
The HUDDLES Catwalk HUD was designed by Luth Brodie (of Reel Expression) and I. It is the first of many icow collab projects. For now, it is available only at the ICOW Sim.
It is combination walk replacer and posing HUD specifically designed for use in fashion shows in Second Life. It gives you an easy way to walk down the runway and strike a few poses and comes with a number of poses built in.
At a minimum, your HUDDLES Catwalk will come with four separate stands, which correspond to the four buttons with arrows. These buttons are for:
first pose – this is the up arrow (or forward arrow) button. This is the first pose that automatically plays whenever you stop walking.
left pose & right pose – these are the left and right arrows on either side of the HUD. They are typically poses that face a bit to the left or right.
over shoulder pose – this has the curved u-turn style arrow on the button. This pose typically will have a pose suitable for hitting when you are walking back from the front of the stage.
other poses – if you have added more poses (or you bought a preloaded set with extra poses) you will see numbered buttons, up to 12. You can play any of these poses by clicking on them.
Available Sets:
There are currently 4 sets available. More will be added soon.
This is another one of those features that probably only a minority will use, but those that do will love it. Let’s say you have a notecard loaded with a lot of macros. And let’s say you used the [name] tag to give (at least some of) the macros names for the buttons. Well, in version 1.2.1, you will be able to use those macros without searching for it and clicking the button. All you have to do is say /99n MacroName, and the macro with the name, “MacroName” will play. Be careful not to give macros duplicate names.
Things have been really busy the last couple of days, but I did find time to make some small updates to the EZ Animator Deluxe. I did some background fixing to make future updates easier. And I added a new feature.
Many people have asked for the ability to change the name used for emotes, so that instead the EZAD saying “Keiki Lemieux waves” it can say “Keiki waves” or “Ms. Lemieux waves” or “The Keikster waves”. It will be really simple to change your name for emotes and chat messages. I think it will also change your name for emails that you send as well. Here is the command:
/99set name Your New Name – for example:
/99set name Keiki
/99set name Ms. Lemieux
/99set name The Keikster
/99set name Keiki the Great
Again, this is a feature that will be available in the NEXT version of the EZ Animator, which should be out soon, since I’m running out of bugs to fix and features to add.
The next version of the EZAD (version 1.2.1) will have a flight assist script inside. I’m using an altered version of open source script, Cyberflight by Argent Stonecutter. The flight boost will be on by default, but you can toggle it on or off using a choice from the Tools Menu. You can also turn it on or off by using these commands:
Last night I added two features to the EZ Animator Deluxe to allow you to get avatar keys. Most people will never need this feature, but often scripted items will need to know an avatars key in order to pay that avatar or send items or messages to that avatar.
Both of these features are found under the Tools Menu (below):
