Please note that this is considered an experimental feature. It is likely that future versions may alter or refine how this works. If you have suggestions to make this feature better, please post your idea using the comments box below

[EMAIL]recipient,subject,message

Sends an email message to the recipient with the given subject and message. If you leave one or more of the parameters blank, then the EZAD will ask the user to enter the missing information. For example:

[EMAIL]yourname@somemail.com,Hello,Just wanted to say hi.

This would send an email to yourname@somemail.com with the subject “Hello” and the body “Just wanted to say hi.”

[EMAIL]myfriend@xtramail.com,A message from Second Life,

When you play the macro above, the EZAD will first ask you for you to type a message, that it will then send the message to myfriend@xtramail.com with the subject “A message from Second Life.

Please note that the email that is sent will have the avatar’s name as the sender. These emails can be replied to as well, but only for the duration of the current Second Life session. If you are wearing the HUD and log out, it will no longer receive emails, because the return address is tied to the actual object’s UUID. If you detach the HUD and then wear it again, the UUID will again change and it will not be able to receive replies to emails you have sent out.

One thing you might try as a scripter is to set up a scripted object at a remote location which waits for an email command. Then create a macro for your EZAD which sends the command via email to the object. The remote object can even send a response back to you.

If you are reading this page using the Google translator, please note that macro commands like [NAME] and [WHISPER] only work if use the English word in the brackets and not the translated word. Be sure to view the page in English to make sure you are using the correct command in your macros.
